George Woodrow Bolen Jr

George "Woody" Woodrow Bolen Jr, 77, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on March 11, 2026, surrounded by family, at his home in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Woody was born on August 3, 1948, to George and Olline Bolen in Morehouse, Missouri. He married Patty Harris on September 13, 1985, in Sikeston, MO at Bethel Baptist Church.

Woody was the hardest working man you would ever come across. He loved his family deeply and spending all his time with them. Woody loved to fish, hunt, make people smile, and telling jokes. He mostly loved being a grandfather. Woody was an amazing father, husband, grandfather, son, and brother, who will be dearly missed by all.

Woody is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patty; children, Heather (Hector) Esquivel, Michelle (Phil) Banks, and Angie (Paul) Tollinson; grandchildren, Nyla, Liam, Brayden, Alexa, Elizabeth, Sarah, Sam, Steven, Brandy, and Jamie; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Gary (Terry) Bolen, Mike (Connie) Bolen, and Linda Haley, sister-in-law, Karen; along with many nieces, nephews, friends, and family.

Woody was preceded in death by parents, George and Olline; son, Eric Harris, daughter, Tammy Talbott; grandson, Dominick Esquivel; great grandson, Harrison Banks; brothers, Larry and Jerry Bolen; and sister-in-law, June.

Graveside service will be at 10am, Friday, March 20th, 2026, at Missouri State Veteran Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
