George W. Shirk III, 64, of Forest Hills, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Born on December 16, 1961, in Jeannette, he was the son of the late George W. Shirk Jr. and Dorothy “Dotty” (Bolt) Shirk.
George served 15 years in the Army as a computer network developer. He was a gifted musician who held a deep love for music throughout his life. Those who knew him will remember his dedication to his craft and the quiet strength he carried from his years of service.
He is survived by his son, George W. Shirk IV; his former wife, Lora Shirk; his siblings, Bonnie Olson, Mavis Hill, William Shirk, and Daniel Shirk; and many nieces and nephews.
