Born on November 26, 1949, in Norfolk, Virginia, he graduated from Mattamuskeet High School in the Class of 1969. Later in life, Stanley moved to Chesapeake, Virginia, where he worked as a truck driver for Mancon until his retirement. Known for his quick wit and kind spirit, he brought laughter and warmth to everyone around him. He was a faithful attendee of Southside Baptist Church in Chesapeake, where he cherished the sense of community and fellowship. Stanley held his family close to his heart and especially treasured time spent with his favorite little ones—Charlotte, Ava, Abby Lane, Brooklyn, and Wyatt—as well as his best friend, David Harper. Though he never had children of his own, those he loved returned that affection deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Thomas O’Neal and his father, George Fitzhugh Lee, Jr. Stanley is survived by his sisters, Sandra Lee Westmoreland (Mikell) of Leesburg, Georgia, Phyllis Lee Sawyer of Scranton, North Carolina, and Allison Potter (Kenny) of Swan Quarter, North Carolina, along with many nieces, nephews, and special cousins. His family remains grateful for the loving support of cousins Brenda, Bonnie, Wayne, John, and their families.
Stanley’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
