George Norris Miller

1938 — 2026

MO

George Norris Miller, born in 1938, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was the middle son of three boys born to Dr. Eldon Miller and Desma Miller.

Growing up in Missouri during the 1930s and 1940s helped shape the man he became. As a boy, he developed a deep love for the outdoors. His father’s friends enjoyed bird hunting but were not always the best shots, so young George often served as the designated shooter, ensuring the group returned home with a prized bird. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong passion for hunting, dogs, and life spent in nature.

Throughout his life, George spent countless hours running dogs, field trialing, and hunting birds. He was especially proud of his Tennessee Walking horses and cherished every opportunity to be outside with his dogs and horses. The outdoors was far more than a pastime—it was where he felt most at home.

In 1960, he married Nancy Bell. Together they built a life and family, raising two daughters, Jennifer and Michelle. George shared his love of nature and animals with his daughters and grandsons, spending many hours with them outdoors.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, his daughter Michelle and her husband Dan, along with their children Nick, Wesley and his wife Danielle, and their two sons, Henry and Beau, his daughter Jennifer and her husband Casey, their three children Kelly, Levi, and Jackson, and his brother John and his wife Henrietta.
