George left this world on March 7, 2026 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Maude Trowbridge (Trowbridge) and Harold Lee Dickerson; his wife Joann; his son Jeffery Michael; his siblings, Star Ard, Joyce Parker and Keith Dickerson; and his son-in-law Steven Maclean.

He is survived by: his children, Timothy Dickerson (Theresa) of Middleville, MI, Teresa Beatty (Keith) of Clare, MI, James Dickerson of Ceresco, MI and Beth MacLean of Clare, MI; his grandchildren, Jeff Dickerson (Karley), Ben Dickerson (Molly), Nick Dickerson (Angel), Alec Dickerson (Lindsay), Hailey Barton (Josh), Kelsey McConnell (Jordan), Tyler Beatty (Gabrielle), Carly Jones (Nate), Casey Klein (Anthony), Marlee MacLean (Ben Newberry), Miles MacLean and Branden Robinson; and his great grandchildren, Clara Dickerson, Yale McConnell, Bowen McConnell, Colson McConnell, Myler McConnell, Sophia Beatty, Austin Beatty and Levi Klein.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Hope Parish (106 E Wheaton Ave, Clare, MI 48617). The military honors will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions in honor of George may be directed to the care of Teresa Beatty to establish a CASA scholarship in George's memory to award a local high school student pursuing the trades.
