He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Stephenson (Mike) and Matthew Thurston; his grandchildren, Tessa Thurston, Jordan Thurston, Kole Stephenson and Lily Jae Stephenson; his sister Vickie Thurston; his nephew Billy Thurston; and the mother of his children Alvie Thurston.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Oakey's Vinton Chapel (627 Hardy Rd, Vinton, VA 24179).
