George H. "Butch" Davis

George H. “Butch” Davis, 65, of Lisbon, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born in East Liverpool on March 6, 1961, he was the son of the late William A. and Zelma Mae Flannigan Davis. A lifelong resident of the area, Butch graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1980.

From an early age, Butch showed a natural talent for working with wood. He became a skilled carpenter and proudly belonged to the Ohio Carpenters Union Local 171 in Youngstown, where he earned multiple certifications. Even after retiring, he continued to find joy in woodworking. He cherished the companionship of his dog Zoey and his cat Cali.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lisa K. Wilson Davis, whom he married on August 29, 1981. Butch will be deeply missed by his three sons, Josh Davis and his wife Holly, Robbie Davis and his wife Tana, and Lucas Davis; his four grandchildren, Carter, Kennedy, Dylan, and Aiden; his brother, Jim Davis and his wife Terry; his sisters, Joyce Janci and her husband Leonard, and Venus Everson; and many nieces and nephews.
