George Andrew Jombanis

George Andrew Jombanis, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Born on October 31, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, to Andrew and Kathryn Mavromatakis Jombanis, he served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps. In 1972, George moved his family from Illinois to Bartow, where he purchased the Chartrands Motel and later established his electronics business, Quality TV. He enjoyed playing golf in his free time.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Sharon Eastman Jombanis, and his grandson, George Preston Agner. George is survived by his son, Andy Jombanis (Judy), his daughter, Laura Agner (Daniel), and his two great-grandchildren, Madelyn Michelle Agner and Daniel Preston Agner.

George will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, and his deep love for his family.
