George A. Brock

George A. Brock, 88, of Red Lick, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born in Garrard County on June 7, 1937, he was the son of the late Luther Brock and Lizzy Helton Brock Bowman.

A longtime member of the Blue Lick Holiness Church, George found deep comfort in reading his Bible. He worked as a self-employed carpenter and homebuilder, taking quiet satisfaction in creating homes and tinkering with projects that reflected his steady hands and practical nature.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Renfro Brock; his daughter, Debra Brock Evans; his grandson, Robert Evans; his sister, Wanda Faye Brock; along with nieces, nephews, his church family, and many dear friends.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brothers Boyd, Douglas, Otis, Manuel, and Emmitt Brock, and his sisters Violet Brock and Pauline Haley.
