Geoffrey "Jeff" Mumby

Geoffrey “Jeff” Mumby, 87, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on September 29, 1938, in Lincoln, he grew up in Fairmont, Nebraska. Jeff began his working life with Mumby’s trucking before moving to Lincoln, where he built a long career with the Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph Company.

He shared 61 years of marriage with his wife, Miriam Kay. Together they traveled the country attending toy shows in connection with Jeff’s collectible toy business. Jeff was known for his strong work ethic, his deep love of family, and his ability to form easy friendships with everyone he met. He was always willing to pitch in and help, frequently made funny faces in photographs, and readily offered his opinion whether it was wanted or not.

He is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Garry) Pollock and Lynn (Mark) Stewart, his grandsons, his great-grandson, and his nephew Kenneth (Louise) Mumby. Jeff was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Kay Mumby.
