Geneva Kate EldrethMarch 7, 2026Beloved mother, Geneva Kate Eldreth, age 85, met Jesus face to face on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Geneva was born in 1940 to the late Eugene and Annie Arnold.Geneva was faithful in her Christian walk. She enjoyed working in her flowers, gardening, and canning. Most of all, reading her Bible and sharing her faith with others was important to her. Next to serving the Lord, her daughters were everything to her.Geneva's earlier years were spent working in manufacturing and then the restaurant industry.Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Karen Colson and husband Darrel, and Shirley Hubbard and husband Enoch; one sister, Hattie Pearl Richardson; special niece, Bebbie Shupe; special friend, Carmela Cornett. In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her stepmother, Winnie Arnold; brothers, James Arnold, Dallas Arnold, Bobbie Arnold, Ronnie McFall, Fred McFall, Bill McFall, Jerry McFall and Junior Wagner; sisters, Sylvia Miller, Francis Richardson, and Vella Ward.The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Mountain City Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastors Leonard Fletcher and Greg Poe officiating.
