Geneva Brave ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by DeArman Funeral Home - Sulphur on Mar. 16, 2026.Geneva Louise (Berry) BraveGeneva Louise (Berry) Brave, 80, of Stratford, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Ada, Oklahoma.She was born on September 13, 1945, in Mountain Home, Oklahoma, and grew up in Waurika, Oklahoma. Geneva dedicated much of her professional life to serving others through her work with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services before retiring. She was also a proud graduate of Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where she earned her bachelor's degree.Geneva was a devoted Christian and an active member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Her faith was central to her life, and she never hesitated to share it with others. She was known for having no fear when it came to witnessing and openly talking to others about her faith and the love of Christ. She loved working on her home and yard and found great joy in spending time with her family and being involved in church activities.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Linda Duncan of Ada, Oklahoma; her sister, Jeannette Pemberton of Henryetta, Oklahoma; and her brothers, Bland Berry of Scroggins, Texas, Joe Berry of Kyle, Texas, and Roger Berry of Waurika, Oklahoma.She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Berry; her father, William Tayler Berry; and her sister, Jenny Abshire.Geneva will be remembered for her strong faith, her love for her family, and the kindness she showed to those around her. While she will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her, her family finds comfort in knowing she has been welcomed into the presence of her Savior.Viewing will be held Monday, March 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at First Freewill Baptist Church in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Officiating; Rev. Dick Terry. Interment will follow in Oaklawn cemetery, Sulphur, Oklahoma.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
