Geneta Taylor ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Parsons Mortuary on Mar. 16, 2026.Mrs. Geneta "Neanie" Quinn Taylor, age 79, of Parsons, Tennessee, passed away on Monday March 16, 2026, at AHC Decatur County in Parsons.Mrs. Taylor was a dedicated educator who spent several years teaching in the Decatur County School System, where she made a lasting impact on the lives of many students. Her love for learning and caring nature was evident in the way she invested in the lives of those around her.She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church for 52 years. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found great joy in being part of her church family.Mrs. Taylor enjoyed many simple pleasures in life, especially gardening, playing the piano, and spending time with her family. Nothing meant more to her than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known lovingly by many as "Neanie," she cherished every moment spent with them and created countless memories that will be treasured for years to come.Her kindness, faith, and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she will always be remembered as "Neanie," a name that carried with it warmth, love, and a lifetime of cherished memories.Mrs. Taylor is survived by her sons, Steven Taylor of Parsons, Tennessee, and David Taylor (Shelley) of Bath Springs, Tennessee; her daughter, Lori McCollum (Nicky) of Parsons, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Lauren McGriff (Stephen), Dakota McCollum, Abby Hope Taylor, Pierson Hamm, and Peyton Hamm; her great-grandchildren, Sawyer McGriff, Aubrey McGriff, Ian McGriff, Eliana McCollum, and Alina McCollum; and her sister-in-law, Nancy Quinn.She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian "Mammie" Quinn and Tom "Pappy" Quinn; her husband, James "Tony" Taylor; and her brother, Randy Quinn.Visitation for Mrs. Taylor will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the time of service.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
