It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gayle Kosalko (Whiting, Indiana), who passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gayle Kosalko to pay them a last tribute.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Gayle leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Faulkner and Florence Faulkner. She is survived by: her husband Charles "Chuck" Kosalko; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Retzloff (Georg) and Margaret Kosalko (Jeff). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her feline companion.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baran Funeral Home (1235 119th St, Whiting, IN 46394). A prayer will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (1849 Lincoln Ave, Whiting, IN 46394).
