Gay Arnold ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Adamson Life Celebration Home on Mar. 11, 2026.Gay Reynolds Arnold, 84 died Tuesday March 10th, 2026.She was born to John B Reynolds and Sadie R (Hines) Reynolds on May 7th, 1941, in Greeley, Colorado.She lived most of her life in Greeley except for a period of time on her grandparent's farm in Gilcrest, CO during World War II when her father was called into active duty with the U.S. Navy.She attended Ernest Horn Elementary (lab school), Cameron Elementary, Meeker Junior High, and graduated from Greeley High School in 1959.Gay attended Colorado State University where she pledged Delta Delta Delta sorority, and Colorado State College (UNC) where she studied classical piano.Gay was a member of the Order of Rainbow for Girls serving as a musician. She participated in many Stars of Tomorrow contests as an accompanist for Scott English.She was married to Scott M English in 1961 and had one son Randall English. They later divorced. She was married to Peter D. Switzer in 1969 and had one daughter, Heather. Pete passed away several years later. Gay was married to Stan Arnold for 28 years.Gay was employed as a student by Dodd's Fine Clothing. As a young mother, she was employed by Geriatrics, Inc. and also enjoyed working at Concepts Home.She was most called to be a stay-at-home mom and grandmother. She was a Cub Scout leader, enjoyed music, interior design, Bible Study and prayer. She attended Greeley Wesleyan Church where she directed children's choir and co-chaired the Holiday Festival for several years. She was an advocate of Dayspring Christian School.Gay was filled with laughter, had wonderful humor and deep love for her people. She was incredibly generous and shared her heart and home with many. She was a very deeply involved mother, grandmother and servant of Christ. She had a way of making others feel treasured and loved, enjoying special times with each of her loved ones. Gay was very proud of her children and adored all four of her grandsons. She enjoyed serving others in her home with good food and beautiful surroundings.Gay is survived by her daughter Heather L. Switzer Kieschnik, husband Mark and their two sons Preston (18) & Grayson (13). Grandson Joshua L English, granddaughter-in-love Bryndi Peif and daughter in law Sheila English-Ogden and husband Marly of Greeley CO.She is preceded in death by her parents John & Sadie, her son Randy English and grandson Zachary English.There will be a Visitation on Monday March 16th, from 5:00 – 7:00 P. M. at Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley.
