Gavin Garcia ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Forest North Funeral Chapel - Staten Island on Mar. 15, 2026.In Loving Memory of Gavin Wilson GarciaGavin Wilson Garcia, age 12, of Staten Island, New York, passed away far too soon, leaving behind a community of family, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish the joy he brought into their lives. To those who loved him most, Gavin was affectionately known by his family nickname, "Bobbles." It was the name his family lovingly called him, and it became how he was known within the family-our Bobbles, a name that will forever bring smiles and memories of the happiness he brought to all of us.Gavin was a student at Richmond Prep, where he was known for his kind heart, helpful nature, and bright spirit. Anyone who met Gavin remembers his smile-one that could light up any room. He carried a warmth and joy that made people feel comfortable and welcome. Those who knew him best say they never ever saw him angry; Gavin simply chose happiness and kindness hed say "I'm a lover not a fighter".Gavin loved the simple joys of childhood. He spent many happy hours playing video games and especially loved characters like Mario and Sonic. Gavin had a creative heart and enjoyed painting and art, expressing himself through colors and imagination. He also had a special fondness for Arctic foxes and treasured his collection of plushies and Yeeps.Like many kids his age, Gavin had big dreams for the future. One day, he hoped to become a YouTuber, sharing his love of video games and bringing laughter and entertainment to others.Family traditions meant a lot to Gavin. Thanksgiving was one of his favorite holidays. Every year he would enjoy his turkey leg and, after the big meal, inevitably fall asleep. This past Thanksgiving was no different-after finishing his turkey leg, he happily made his way to the donuts and enjoyed those too before eventually passing out. It's a memory his family will always smile about and hold close to their hearts.Above all, Gavin was a deeply loving child who was loved just as deeply in return. His gentle spirit, helpful nature, and joyful personality touched everyone who knew him-even those who only met him briefly.Gavin leaves behind his loving parents, Estelle Diaz and Wilson Garcia; his siblings, Gabriel Garcia and Kayla Ferrer; his grandparents; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him.Though his time here was far too short, Gavin's light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who loved him. His laughter, kindness, and beautiful smile will never be forgotten. To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
