Gary Welch

Gary M. Welch, 86, of Albany, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Overbrook Nursing Center in Middleport, Ohio. Born on December 28, 1939, in Meigs County, he was the son of the late Dana and Elsie Haning Welch. Gary worked for Columbus Plastics for 20 years and served as a Scipio Township Trustee for many years.

He is survived by his children, Lori (Bill) Burbridge and Jeffrey (Penny) Welch; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his brother, Ronnie Welch. Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Markin Welch; a grandson, Curtis Welch; his brothers, Everett and Herman Welch; and his sisters, Evelyn Brickles and Anastine Butter.

He will be remembered as a dedicated worker, a committed public servant, and a loving family man who cherished his wife, children, and many descendants.
