Gary Rudy Melquist, age 79, of Minneapolis, passed away on March 9, 2026.
Gary cherished the time he spent with his companion, Helen Magnan. Born to Rudy Orville Melquist and MaryAnn Genevine (née Nelson) Melquist, both formerly of Gibbon, Minnesota, he was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother, Brent O. Melquist (Brenda), and his sister, Paula Case (John). He is also survived by his niece, Autumn, and nephews Jeramiah (Sarah), Charles (Jenny), Jacob (Betsy), and Alex (Morgan), as well as his great-nieces and great-nephews Addison, Kaiden, Brienna, Sierrah, Caleb, Kayla, Christian, Margaret, Rachel, Cayson, and Cooper.
