Gary O. James

Gary O. James, age 86, passed away on March 4, 2026, surrounded by his family.

A loving father, grandfather, and uncle, Gary served his country in the United States Army and continued that spirit of service through his final act of donating to Lifebanc. He was a longtime member of the Mogadore VFW and more recently Canton 3747.

He is survived by his daughters Tina (Doug) Hastings, Melissa Wise, and Pamela (Fred) Weigand; his grandchildren Brittany Hastings, Dakota Piotter, Kassidy (Steffin) Murphy, Danielle (Ben) Miller, Nicholas Weigand, and Michael (Katie) Weigand; and his great-grandchildren Henry, Sophia, and Elsie. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Dessie James; his brothers, Denny (Phyllis) and Willard (Juanita) James; his longtime significant loved one, Mabel Long; his daughter, Debbie Hagan; and his special pet, Chloe.
