Gary M Bright

Gary Bright, age 83, entered into the presence of his Lord on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Born on May 30, 1942 in Traverse City, Michigan, he was the son of the late William and Juanita (Diehl) Bright. Gary graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 1974 and devoted his life to Christian ministry, serving first as a Music Minister and Youth Pastor before becoming a Lead Pastor.

He found joy in reading, woodworking, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. An enthusiastic athlete, he played softball for many years and remained a devoted Detroit Tigers fan throughout his life.

Gary is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marge (Lichty) Bright; his son, Dan Bright of Charlotte, Michigan; his daughter, Renee’ (Aaron) Warren of Jackson, Michigan; grandchildren Jacob, Nathan, Gabby, and Tori; his sister, Judy (Bright) Ritter; and many other loving family members.
