Gary Kenneth McLamb Jr.

Gary Kenneth McLamb Jr. passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 55.

Gary found deep satisfaction in life’s simpler pleasures. He enjoyed metal detecting and once located a valuable lost treasure, which he took great pride in returning to its rightful owner. He cherished time spent outdoors, particularly fishing, and created many lasting memories casting his line off the dam in Chandler. A skilled woodworker, he took quiet satisfaction in crafting things with his hands. Above all, Gary treasured his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than being with those he loved and building memories together.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Mellania McLamb; his children, Kimberly Blanchfield, Crystal Dawson, Anne Marie Mercer, Lynn Mercer, Cecil Johns, Patrick Johns, and Emily Marlene Johns; and his brothers, Rodney McLamb (Kim) and Bradley Davis (Linda). Gary was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren and is also remembered fondly by eight nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gary McLamb Sr. and Patricia Davis; his grandparents, Joe Champ and Gertrude Parker; and his brother, PJ William Davis Jr.
