Dowling, 72, of Manchester, beloved husband of Cheryl (Boudreau) Dowling, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Born in Hartford, he was the son of Joseph and Joan (Zigman) Dowling.Gary enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1972 and retired in 2011 as a Senior Master Sargeant.He leaves behind his wife Cheryl, his sons Gary Dowling and his wife Misty, and Bryan Dowling; grandchildren Gage and Casey Dowling, Peter Rommel, Chase Hartley Dowling, Breanna Dowling, and Madeleine Dowling; great-granddaughter Montana Dowling; his sisters Joanie Grande and Kathy Dowling, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Street in Manchester from 9-11 a.m. with a funeral home service immediately following.
