He was predeceased by: his father Gilbert; and his wife Susie Lynn Hindman. He is survived by: his sons, Eric Carpenter (Nicole) and Jason Carpenter (Amber); his grandsons, Brent Carpenter (Jasmine), Brandon Carpenter (Abby) and Tyler Carpenter; and his siblings, Perry Carpenter and Diane McFadden.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Snyder Funeral Homes, Lindsey Chapel (123 N Market St, Loudonville, OH 44842). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
