He grew up in Soddy Daisy attending school and graduated in 1968 from Soddy Daisy Highschool. He retired from the local 704 ironworker union after many years. After retirement he enjoyed carpentry work and helping his friends and neighbors.Gary was a big University of Tennessee fan, in addition to supporting his Volunteers, he enjoyed many different sports ranging from football, basketball, baseball (including the Atlanta Braves), racing and much more. He also enjoyed playing pool, throwing horseshoes, and fishing.Gary loved his family and friends dearly, and he was loved dearly by them and everyone else that knew him loved him. He had a great sense of humor and was always a joy to spend time with. When spending time with Gary, it seemed like you could slow down and just enjoy the moment.Gary was proceeded in death by his father Kenneth and mother Jewell Brown, his aunt Ruby and aunt Eleanor Chancy and his brother Kenny Brown to include remaining loved ones.Gary is survived by his daughter Kim (Jimmy) Rose, his sons Justin and Jason (Randy), his grandchildren Kayla, Braiden, Katie and LJ and one great grandchild Arabella. Gary was also survived by his sister Nancy (Russell) Humerick who resides in Ohio, nieces and nephews Stephanie, Eric, Billy and Nathan, and numerous great nieces, nephews, his dear friend and neighbor Allan Harvey and his family as well as many other loving friends and extended family members.A date and other details for Gary's Celebration of Life will be announced in near future.
