Thomas, 77, of Pittsburgh, PA formerly of Delaware and Maryland, passed away with family by his side on March 7, 2026. Born on May 22, 1948 in Washington, D.C, he is the son of the late George and Doris Thomas.Loving father to Jennifer (Greg) Zofchak, Michael (Sarah) Thomas, and Jamie (David) McGreal; Beloved grandpa to Brooks, Ryan, Riley, Brandon, Carter, and Ethan; He is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family members.Gary had a lifelong passion for poetry and proudly published his own book of poems. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed a good game of poker, and treasured the time he spent with friends at Vanadium Woods. Above all, he loved his family and was a devoted father and grandfather.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gary's honor to the American Heart Association.
