He is survived by: his wife Ruth Kilmer; his children, Dr. John Kilmer (Naiyun Fan) and Mary Kilmer; his grandsons, Andrew and Benjamin Kilmer; his brother-in-law Larry Poole; and his pet Jackson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wilson Miller Funeral Home (4210 N Saginaw Rd, Midland, MI 48640). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
