Gary Jones ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Kilgore Funeral Home, LLC - Tullahoma on Mar. 9, 2026.Gary Alan Jones of Tullahoma passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at NHC Tullahoma at the age of 72 after a lengthy illness. Mr. Jones was born to the late Maurice and Christine Jones. Gary graduated from Tullahoma High School in 1972. Gary had a passion for Emergency Medical Services. He was a pioneering Emergency Medical Services professional in Tennessee. In 1973, he joined the inaugural staff of the newly formed Coffee County Ambulance Service. Gary later contributed to the Metro Nashville Fire Department as an EMT. The attention-grabbing nature of lights and sirens fueled an adrenaline in him. Later, Gary followed in his dad's and beloved sister, Charlene Jones Camp's footsteps working in the Circuit Court Clerk's office for the Coffee County Judicial System. Gary was part of the Respiratory Therapy program at Aquinas College in Nashville. He embarked on entrepreneurial ventures involving apparel, sunglasses, jewelry, and logistics. He was a skilled salesman who engaged in day trading. Gary loved cars, enjoyed friendly conversation, and watching sports, particularly NASCAR. He was a long-time friend of the Hazelwood family and maintained a close-knit relationship over his life. Gary could often be located at Lewis' Gulf or at the Hazelwood home. In addition, he is survived by special friends Rick Fraley and Marlin Hoover. Special thanks to all who provided comfort, assistance, and companionship to Gary during his illness.
