Garland Eugene Going

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Garland Eugene Going of Lincoln, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 7, 2026 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Garland shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Garland farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Going and Minnie Going; and his wife Shirley. He is survived by: his children, Steve (Mary), Michael (Jodi), Brenda Blosser (Vern), Corinne O'Brien (Patrick), Joy Blythe (Dave) and Sherry Gilbert. He is also survived by His parents, and his 4 brothers and one sister.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Capitol City Christian Church (7800 Holdrege St, Lincoln, NE 68505). A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home (6800 S 14th St, Lincoln, NE 68512).
