Gale Christine Zaidan

Gale Christine Zaidan, age 58, of Harsens Island, Michigan, passed away on March 2, 2026, at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital. Born on February 1, 1968, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, she married Hamod Ali Zaidan on August 9, 1988, in Detroit, Michigan.

Gale grew up on Harsens Island with a passion for adventure and a deep love for her family, especially her three children. She was known for her infectious giggle that often followed one of her beloved corny jokes. A gifted cook from a young age, Gale pursued her dream of becoming a chef and spent her life sharing kindness and delicious food through the restaurants she owned with Hamod, her catering business, and in meals prepared simply for those she loved. Her home was always open and her kitchen was never empty. She will be remembered for her happiness, generosity, and heartwarming way of nourishing both body and spirit.

She is survived by her husband Hamod; children Amanda (Cody) Hug, Sammier (Taylor) Zaidan, and Andria (Connor) Janski; mother Adele (Dale) Raska; grandchildren Sonny and Sawyer Hug, and Lila Zaidan; sister Terri (Michael) Malane; niece Alicia (David) Abdilla; and great-nephew and great-niece Cole and Claire Abdilla. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Arsenault.
