Gail Pearson ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Schuller Family Funeral Home-Domian-Anderson Chapel on Mar. 16, 2026.The memorial service celebrating the life of Gail Pearson of Deer Creek, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 27, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek with Pastor Don Wagner presiding.Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and will resume on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Deer Creek. She departed peacefully with tender care by her family, the Perham Living staff and Vivie Hospice.Gail was born to Russell and Delores (Lundstrom) Stave on December 2, 1949, in Bertha, MN. She graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1967. She married the love of her life, Larry Pearson, on August 19, 1967, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek. She was a loving wife, mother, grandma and great grandma, who was also known as Curly, Mee-maw and Gigi. She liked to bake and was famous for her Special K bars and yummy chocolate chip bars. She also passed along the tradition of making brandy slush for the holidays.Gail enjoyed crossword puzzles, word finds, diet Pepsi, hot dogs, and a good cup of coffee with her two ladies' groups. She also found joy in watching her daughters and grandchildren at school activities. Additional favorites were pizza snacks, and homemade ice cream at Christmas! She will be remembered for taking her grandchildren to the AmericInn pool in Wadena and treating them afterwards to treats at Dollar Tree. Gail and Larry were known to frequent Dairy Queens on their many afternoon drives or take gator rides to check fields and visit neighbors.Gail touched the lives of those around her with strength, resilience and an unwavering spirit. Despite facing many challenges throughout her cancer diagnosis, she remained an inspiration to all who knew her. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, leaving a permanent mark on the hearts of those she loved. Her legacy will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing her journey.Preceding Gail in death were her parents, Russell and Delores; siblings, Richard Stave, infant sister Shelbey Stave, Deanna Lietz and Sandy Ashbaugh; parents-in-law, Einar and Irene Pearson; and brother-in-law, Dennis Eldstrom.Deeply loved, Gail will be remembered by her devoted husband, Larry; daughters, Shelbey (Don) Arneson of Deer Creek, Christy (Travis) Wermter of Brainerd, and Jody (Troy) Bak of Miltona; seven grandchildren, Ashton (Damian) Uselman, Adam (Maddie) Arneson, Brady Wermter, Ryan Wermter, Halle Bak, Nolan (fiancé Ashley) Bak and Brant Bak; three great-grandchildren: Everly Uselman, Camille Arneson and Asher Arneson; brothers Randy (Caryl) Stave and Doug (Gina) Stave; brothers-in-law, Daryl (Vicki) Pearson and Ken Ashbaugh; sister-in-law, Cheryl Eldstrom; along with a host of extended family and friends.Honorary urn bearers will be her great-grandchildren and serving as urn bearers will be her grandchildren.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
