With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gail Marie Carlton of LaFayette, New York, born in Preble, New York, who passed away on March 7, 2026 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Gail departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Gail may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Gail leaves behind.

She was predeceased by: her mother Bettie Carlton-Baldwin; and her sister Judy Shepard. She is survived by: her father Ralph Carlton; her sons, Bradley Love and Lance Carlton; her granddaughter Lyla Carlton; and her brothers, Dan Carlton (Julie), Larry Carlton (Anh) and Scott Carlton (Kathy). She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Buranich Funeral Home (5431 W Genesee St, Camillus, NY 13031). A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
