Gail Duncan ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by The Wood Mortuary, Inc. - Greer on Mar. 17, 2026.Gail Duncan, a woman of profound faith, artistic flair, and unwavering devotion to her family, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, at the age of 91. Though her absence will be deeply felt, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now in the presence of her Lord and reunited with her beloved husband of 71 years, Clyde Duncan.Gail's greatest joy was her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a true prayer warrior, devoted to ensuring each member of her family felt deeply loved and lifted in prayer. Her love often took the form of handwritten letters; carefully written notes of encouragement and faith sent to those she cherished most.A true lover of nature, Gail found peace in her garden. She spent countless hours tending to her plants, creating a sanctuary for God's creations, especially the hummingbirds and butterflies she so admired. Her creativity was expressed through her writing as well as other artistic outlets like clothing design, drawing, painting and coloring. Even in the simple moments, Gail carried herself with elegance. She was a sharp dresser and a dedicated shopper who enjoyed expressing herself through fashion. True to her signature style, she was never seen without a perfect coat of polish on her nails, a small but vibrant reflection of her colorful spirit.Gail's life was a testament to the beauty of a long-lasting marriage, the strength of faith, and the joy of a well-tended garden. She invested time nurturing others in Christ through mission trips, Bible studies and the relationship building of daily life. She leaves behind a legacy of grace that will continue to bloom in the hearts of those who knew her.Gail is survived by her son, Joey Duncan (Kim), and her daughter, Kitty Murphy (Jim). She was a proud grandmother to Kristin Terry (Justin), Casey Murphy, Brant Duncan, Nick Duncan, Fisher Duncan, and Joseph Toby. Her great-grandchildren, Landon, Declan, and Amerie, brought her immeasurable joy.Friends and family are invited to celebrate Gail's life Friday, March 20, 2026, at Taylors First Baptist Church, 200 W. Main St., Taylors South Carolina.
