He was born in Louisville, KY on February 25, 1944, son of the late Fredrick Carl and Alice Louise Smith Dieckmann. He retired from Commonwealth Aluminum and was a former member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Fred loved being outdoors, whether it was on the farm, logging and just enjoying nature.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant brother.Fred is survived by his wife Judith Elaine Dieckmann of Hardinsburg, KYHis brother John Carl Dieckmann and his wife Shirley of Hardinsburg, KYHe is also survived by Judy's siblings and their families.Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 11 AM with burial in the Ivy Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, 3:30 – 7 PM and Thursday after 8:30 AM.
