He was predeceased by: his father Lawrence Gallegos. He is survived by: his wife Cher; his mother Annette; his daughters, Rebecca, Lauren, Jessie and Anna; his stepchildren, Amanda and Derek; his grandchildren, Aiden, Zane, Zoey, Edwin, Rory, Zeke and Ruby; his siblings, Christy (Tim), Lawrence (Stephanie), Allen (Iona), Heather (Dave) and Monica (Chad); and his friends, Mark, Gary and Jon. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Folsom Field, University of Colorado-Boulder (2250 Stadium Dr, Boulder, CO 80309).
