Freddie Dawkins was born in Gaffney, South Carolina, the son of the late Fred and Lorene Bonner Dawkins. He was the devoted husband of Catherine Roberts Dawkins.
Freddie was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Dawkins, and his sister, Mildred Combs. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Sapp of Maryland, as well as other relatives in Gaffney including Brian Dawkins, Harvey Dawkins, and Diane Ellis.
He will be remembered for the quiet strength and steadfast love he showed his family throughout his life.
