Freda Ann Hogue, 64, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on March 13, 2026.
Born in Trion, Georgia on September 26, 1961, to Doris Faye Harris and Joseph Harris, Freda filled her days with the things she cherished most. She devoted herself to renovating her home and found great joy in playing bingo. She owned and operated the snack shack at Goldstar Bingo, where her warm presence and beloved cooking earned her the affectionate title of Nana from everyone who knew her. Nothing brought her more happiness than preparing meals for her family and friends, except perhaps her deep love for sunflowers.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Faye Harris; her father, Joseph Harris; her brother, Ricky Harris; her sister, Linda Covey; and her beloved dog, Charlie.
Freda is survived by her lifelong friend, Glenn Bishop of Amarillo; her children, Tiffany Adams of Amarillo, Justin and Christin “Raymond” Marnell of Amarillo, Dusty and Whitney Marnell of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Wyatt and Rachel Bishop of Canyon, Texas; eight grandchildren, Macie Marnell and fiancé Ben Bergeron, Brayden Marnell and Val Enriquez, Keegan Marnell and Rayna Grim, Tatum Marnell, Bayleigh Marnell, and Harrison Marnell; two great-grandchildren, Jakxtyn and Kaysen; her sisters, Kathy Beach and husband Bobby of Westville, Oklahoma, and Wanda Broughton of Columbia, South Carolina; lifelong friends Mikey and Jamie Jernigan of Canadian, Texas; her dogs Itty and Sammy; and many nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces, and cousins.
