Fred Gach, born on March 17, 1947, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. He lived a long and meaningful life surrounded by family and those who loved him.
Fred proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, showing the bravery and dedication that defined much of his character. After his military service, he worked for more than 60 years as a forklift driver at the A&P warehouse in Edison, where he was known for his strong work ethic and steadfast commitment.
He is survived by his former wife, Patricia Colatrella, and was a loving and devoted father to Gina Gach, Fred Gach, and Anthony Gach. Fred was a proud grandfather to Annamaria, Angel, Gabby, Gianna, Vito, Anthony, Christina, and Michael, and a cherished great-grandfather to Geno and Calvin. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Marie Emin.
Fred will be remembered as a loving father, proud grandfather, and great-grandfather who cared deeply for his family. His strength, dedication, and love will live on through the many lives he touched.
