It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Fred KeyJr. in Trenton, Missouri, who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Key and Delores Key (Metsker); his parents-in-law, Ralph and Lillian Whitley; and his siblings, Ronalddeen Key, Gene Key, Annielea Blattner and Rayleane Key.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Carrol Whitley; his children, Richard Key (Connie), Joanna Anderson (Ken) of Trenton and Lori Malone (Robert) of Fort Collins, CO.; his brothers, Bud Key of Trenton and John; his sisters-in-law, Bev Whitley of Trenton and Donna Key of Illinois; his grandchildren, Rachael Rongey (Joe) of Trenton, Brent Key of Marion, VA, Wade Key (Lauren) of Lawson, Daniel Anderson (Beth) of Liberty, Clayton Anderson (Hayley) of Trenton, Emily Porter (Alex) of Kearney and Lily Malone of Denver, CO; and his great grandchildren, Gracyn Otto (Chase), Mason Rongey, Reed Rongey, Brayden Key, Addison Key, Adaline Anderson, Case Anderson, Eleanor Anderson, Ryker Porter, Renley Porter and Rex Porter. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Dockery Chapel Church (386 Southwest Highway WW, Trenton, MO 64683).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Wright Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. Luke's Hospice.
