Hanover Township, PA
Fred F. Gray, 77, of Hanover Township, passed away on March 13, 2026, at Hampton House following a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born on March 2, 1949, he was the son of the late Fred L. and Betty Gray. A 1967 graduate of GAR High School, Fred went on to earn a degree in electrical engineering from Penn State University.
Fred was deeply loved by all who knew him. An accomplished cook, his homemade pizza became legendary and served as the heart of countless gatherings and parties, with friends and family always eager for the next invitation. He possessed a boundless collection of jokes and had a natural gift for landing at the center of any group, bringing laughter wherever he went. Resourceful and inventive, he could repair nearly anything, often in his own creative and memorable ways. Above all, he was a devoted father, grandfather, partner, uncle, and friend.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Charlotte Gray, and his brother, Rick Gray. He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Keller and her husband, Bill, and Kelly Kablick and her husband, John; his son, Jeff; grandchildren Mason Gray, Sydney and Tyler Keller, and Cole and Camden Kablick; his loving and devoted partner, Peggy Futch; sister-in-law Carol Gray; goddaughter Alison Gray; nephews Rich Gray and Chris Gray; and great-nephew Noah Gray. The family is grateful for the compassionate care provided by the staff at Hampton House and the Compassionate Care Hospice team, especially Becky Peters, Dennis, and Cathy, whose support brought comfort during his final days.
