Brillhart, a devoted family man, respected surgical nurse, and proud Marine, passed away on Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on January 28th, 1957, in Roswell, New Mexico, Fred was the cherished son of Gale M. (Victor) Karns and the late Don E. Brillhart.Fred honorably served his country as a Marine, embodying the values of dedication and service throughout his life. He later transitioned into a career as a surgical nurse, offering comfort and care to countless patients with his compassionate nature and skilled expertise.Fred shared 48 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Gwendolyn S. Brillhart, who resides in New Baltimore, MI. Together, they built a loving family that includes their children, Richard, Eric (Melinda), and Brandon Brillhart, and their treasured grandchildren, Chase and Cameron. Fred's family extended beyond his immediate relatives, encompassing dear step-brothers, John (Kimberly) Karns and Kenneth (Joan) Karns, and numerous extended family members and friends who admired and loved him.A resident of New Baltimore, MI, Fred's legacy is one of love, strength, and unwavering support for his family and community. He will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, devoted son, and proud grandfather.His funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 21st, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church located at 31100 23 Mile Rd., New Baltimore. Family and friends are welcome to gather for visitation at the church from 10:30 am until the time of the service. Military Honors will follow after the service, reflecting Fred's esteemed service to his country. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.Fred E. Brillhart's life was a testament to the values of love, service, and dedication.
