Lynn was born on April 3, 1949, to Fred and Katheline Davis in Maryville, TN. He graduated from Everett High School in 1968. Lynn worked in the projector room at the Capitol Theater and the Parkway Drive-In movies. That is where he met the love of his life, Connie. They married at St. Mark's UMC in 1970 and loved one another for the next 55 years. He owned and operated the Circle Drive Union 76 gas station for several years. Lynn loved to watch NASCAR and attend any race he could. Bristol Motor Speedway was one of his favorites. He enjoyed the need for speed on the Maryville Drag Strip where he raced his '57 Chevy the Raunchy Rabbit. He even won a few times. His favorite pastime was hanging out with his buddies in the garage. Most afternoons, he could be found at Buck's Body Shop hanging out with his lifelong best friend Buck Whitehead. He and his wife enjoyed camping together over the years and spending time with the "lake bunch" on Tellico and Cherokee Lakes. Lynn worked for D.F. Shoffner Mechanical Contractors where he retired after 40 plus years of service. He enjoyed many scuba diving trips with his dear friend Doug Shoffner. Lynn's passion was his family. He was devoted to them and his grandchildren. He coached little league baseball and was always up for a lesson or two in the front yard. Lynn will be greatly missed by his loyal companions Sam and Chubby. They will miss the fuzzy blanket snuggle time in the recliner. The family would like to acknowledge two very special friends. Buck Whitehead and Glenda Shoffner. Both have been by his side to provide constant support and comfort throughout this journey. We also want to thank all of our friends and family who have stood by us during this long illness and recent house fire. We could not have made it without you all. A special thank you to his favorite doctor Susan Newman, he never minded her appointments. To all the nurses in the chemo hut at UT Cancer Institute who made life a little easier on treatment days. To UT Hospice, thank you for walking side by side with us in the final days and providing guidance and support, Nurse Allison, Nurse Jodi, and Daphne, his CNA. Preceded in death by his parents Fred and Katheline Davis, and his brother Howard Davis. Survived by his wife, Connie Davis, and his children Nicki Duvall (Kelly Duvall) and Travis Davis. Grandchildren: Tyler Morse (Aspen Cooper), Alexis Davis and Weston Davis. Brother Michael Davis, Sister Debbie Dunlap.
