Franklyn Seems Jr.

July 4, 1969 March 8, 2026

Bayville, NJ

Franklyn Warren Seems Jr., 56, of Bayville, passed away suddenly on March 8, 2026. Born on the Fourth of July in Neptune, New Jersey, and raised in Wall Township, Frank lived a life centered on family, loyalty, and an abiding love for his son. He later made his home in Bayville, where he continued to embody the values he held dear throughout his life.

In his younger years, Frank worked many seasons as a bouncer at D’Jais, the iconic Jersey Shore nightclub, forming lasting friendships and creating cherished memories. He went on to found Seems Landscape Design LLC in 1998, building a successful career doing what he loved. For nearly three decades, he designed and created outdoor spaces across Monmouth and Ocean counties, leaving a lasting mark on the communities he served.

Frank was a devoted sports fan who cheered passionately for the Yankees, Rangers, and Giants. In recent years, he became an enthusiastic supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide, making frequent trips to Tuscaloosa to visit his son at the University of Alabama and share in the excitement of game days together. He found simple joy in being outdoors, spending time on his boat, or relaxing by a fire in his backyard with a cigar.

Above all, Frank cherished his role as a father. His son, Franklyn “Frankie” Seems, was the center of his world. Their relationship grew from that of father and son into a deep and abiding friendship built on admiration, laughter, and unwavering support. He also shared a meaningful life with his devoted partner of 20 years, Jennifer Cheek, enjoying concerts, dinners out, drives in his Mustang with the top down, and quiet evenings at home watching movies and sports.

Frank was predeceased by his parents, Franklyn and Joan Seems. He is survived by his beloved son, Frankie; his loving partner, Jennifer Cheek; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply. Those who knew him will remember his strong work ethic, his love of sports, his easy laugh, and, most of all, the immense pride and devotion he carried for his son every day of his life.
