Franklin D. Finley, born on March 3, 1940, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, to the late Raymond and Charlotte Finley, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he shared a deep and abiding bond with his family, treasuring every moment spent with them. He was married for 51 years to his beloved wife, Patricia, who preceded him in death.
Franklin served his country in the United States Air Force before embarking on a 21-year career in law enforcement, retiring as a Deputy Sheriff with the Baltimore County Sheriff's Department. His steadfast commitment to protecting and serving his community reflected his hardworking and dedicated character. In his spare time, he remained a devoted fan of the Baltimore Orioles.
He is survived by his daughter, Christina Pyle, his son-in-law, Kris Pyle, and his cherished grandson, Kris F. Pyle. Franklin was preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Frances Reiter, James Finley, Barney Finley, John Finley, Rosemary Everett, and Thomas Finley.
