Frank Xavier Nause Jr.

Frank Xavier Nause Jr., 83, of Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away after a courageous battle with Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Chicago to Frank X. Nause and Mary Kielty Nause, he was the beloved brother of Eileen Nause Wager, who died in 2024, and Kathy Venable, wife of Larry.

He married Gabriele L. Nause on March 16, 1966, and together they raised two children, Lisa Marie Nause Bass and Frank X. Nause III. Lisa is married to Henry Morgan, and they have two sons, Eric and Ethan. Frank III is married to Beverely Jessee Nause, and they have four sons, Brett, Blake, Taylor, and Tanner.

A graduate of Benedictine High School, Frank earned a Business Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He worked for Dominion and the City of Richmond, but his greatest passion was serving his community. For 37 years he volunteered with the Chesterfield County Volunteer Fire Department during its early days when the county had only 13 volunteer companies. He took special pride in his son following in his footsteps as a paid Chesterfield County firefighter and paramedic.

He will be remembered for his dedication to family and his lifelong commitment to helping others. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Chesterfield County Fire Department in his name.
