April 8, 1953— March 12, 2026
Genoa, OH
Frank “Randy” Myers, 72, passed away on March 12, 2026, surrounded by care at Orchard Villa.
Born on April 8, 1953, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, to Frank McCain Myers and Doris (Cunningham) Myers, Randy grew up in Ohio and graduated from Woodward High School. He began his working life as a gas station attendant before spending many years as a skilled machinist with Ohio Saw & Cutter, later continuing with the company after it became Michigan Saw & Cutter. In later life he discovered a passion for healthcare, becoming a State Tested Nursing Assistant. He took great pride in this work and often spoke with fondness of his time at Flower Hospital, even as Alzheimer’s disease advanced.
Randy shared 39 loving years with the love of his life, Bonnie (Marty) Myers, until her passing in 2012. Together they created a life rich in simple pleasures, including many trips to Cedar Point in their younger days and frequent outings in search of a good cheeseburger.
He found quiet joy in crafting, building Lego sets, knitting, and working on puzzles. A devoted fan of the James Bond films, he also enjoyed westerns, World War II history, the Jurassic Park series, and was an avid student of history, particularly drawn to conspiracy theories and lively discussions of historical events. For many years he was known among family and friends for baking his delicious homemade French bread.
Randy is survived by his daughter, Kimmie (Steve) Ballou; grandchildren, Nicholas Myers, Stephenie (Jarrod) Ballou, Ambrosia (Willie) Evans, and Elijah Myers; great-grandchildren, Dameon Burton, Levi Wicker, and Camden Mullins; and his brother, Gerald Myers Sr. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bonnie Myers; his parents, Frank McCain and Doris Myers; and his siblings, Darlene Willowford and Richard Myers.
