April 20, 1955— March 12, 2026
Dedham, MA
Frank Citrone Jr., age 70, of Dedham, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on March 12, 2026, after a courageous 23-year battle with cancer. Born in Boston on April 20, 1955, he was the son of the late Frank Citrone and Mary Citrone. Raised in Hyde Park, Frank graduated from Catholic Memorial High School in 1973, earned a bachelor’s degree from Suffolk University, and later received his MBA from Babson College.
He dedicated more than forty years to a career in financial services. Above all, Frank was a devoted father who coached his children in town sports for many years. He founded and served as the first president of the Westwood Fields Association, creating opportunities for young athletes and families in the community. Determined to improve the lives of others facing similar diagnoses, he established the Frank Citrone Research Fund to promote awareness of blood diseases and advance their treatments. The fund supported Boston Medical Center, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and Massachusetts General Hospital, and his efforts earned him induction into the Chester S. Keefer, M.D. Society. A quiet presence behind the camera, Frank lovingly captured countless family moments that will be treasured for generations.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Carol Citrone; his children, Alex Citrone, Nick Citrone and his wife Esther Montgomery, and Amanda St. Clair; and his cherished grandsons, Benjamin and Samuel St. Clair. He is also survived by his sister, Angela Rutzick and her husband Philip; his nieces Danielle Skehill and her husband Mark, and April Libby and her husband Dan; his great-nephews Mike Masse and Jaxon Libby; and his great-nieces Sophie Skehill and Reese Libby. In addition to his parents, Frank was predeceased by his younger brother, Jimmy Citrone.
