Frank Bernhauser, age 87, of Philadelphia, passed away on March 10, 2026.
Frank was drawn to the outdoors throughout his life. A dedicated deer hunter, he spent many autumns in the big woods of Potter County. He was also an avid fisherman who cherished the peaceful waters of French Creek. A true sportsman, he patiently taught both of his children and his many grandchildren how to hunt and fish, treasuring the hours spent with family at his side. Over the years he raised and trained numerous Labrador Retrievers and enjoyed bowling as well.
He was the beloved husband of 62 years to Audrey (née Parise). He leaves behind his cherished children, Deborah Spiro and Frankie (Denise) Bernhauser; devoted grandchildren, Daniel (Alison) Appleton, Anthony (Laura) Bernhauser, Jason Appleton, and Cole Spiro; and loving great-grandson, Riley. He was the dear brother of Ida Friel.
