Frank A. Trovato, 96, of White Plains, New York, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on September 14, 1929, in the Bronx, he grew up there, attending Columbus High School and later the College of Aeronautics. Though he held a deep love for airplanes, he never piloted one himself. For many years, Frank worked as a frame-man for New York Telephone.
He met and married his beloved wife, Mary, and together they shared 68 years of marriage. Cape Cod held a special place in his heart; he first visited in his twenties with friends and returned every year with Mary and their children, Frank and Dawn. Family was at the center of Frank’s life, and he instilled those same values in his children. He held great admiration for his older brothers, Joe and Carl, often speaking of them with pride. He cared devotedly for his parents, Theresa and Salvatore, and cherished simple joys such as Sunday dinners, dancing with Mary, and music. He played the piano by ear and, on every birthday, would perform “Happy Birthday” on his father’s violin, always with a delightfully squeaky touch.
Frank is survived by his wife Mary, his son Frank, his daughter Dawn, and many loving nieces and nephews.
