Brady, 84, of La Fayette, IL, died on Monday, March 16, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, March 21st, at Stackhouse-Moore Funeral & Cremation Services, Galva. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.Francis was born on January 8, 1942, in Peoria, IL, the son of James Brady and Dorothy E. Spurgeon. He was raised by his parents, Dorothy and Gerald Schmidt. He graduated from Manual High School in 1960. Francis married Marsha Stevens on December 29, 1988, in La Fayette, IL. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2012.Francis worked in data security for Caterpillar Inc. until retiring in 2005. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing with his grandchildren.Survivors include children, Barb Schupbach, Monmouth, Francis "Chip" (Marcia) Brady, Jr., Naperville, Devri Colver, Peoria, and Michael (Savanah) Brady, Normal; grandchildren, Maggi Taylor (Daniel), Matthew Martin, Jacob Schupbach, Allie Sharkey (Chad), Nate Schupbach, Madison Jones (Casey), Andrew Schupbach, Ethel Lewis (Jon), Brant Brady (Michael Sillar), Spencer Brady, Luke Brady (Alessandra), Olivia Brady, Kaleb Deske (Jade), Nathaniel Deske (Cate), Tegan Deske, and Zoe Brady; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kynzie, Wyatt, Conner, Finley, Aiden, Lila, Landyn, Chad, Jr., Chase, Owen, and Claire; and brothers, James Webster, and John Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Gerald Schmidt; and wife, Marsha; sisters, Diana Rogers and Selma Brown; and brothers, Pat Brady and Jerry Schmidt.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
