Francis A. "Frank" Russo

Francis A. “Frank” Russo of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away on February 9, 2026 at his home. Born on June 29, 1946 in Renovo, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Ernest M. Russo and Anna R. (Sciabica) Russo.

Frank graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic School in 1964. He immediately enlisted in the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Coral Sea (CVA-42), with the majority of his service spent in the South China Sea and Tonkin Gulf. After completing his military duty, he attended community college in Virginia, where he earned an Associate Degree in Accounting. He went on to spend many years as a field accountant with the National Red Cross.

He is survived by his wife, Linn; his children, Samantha (Rick) Finocchiaro, Heather (David) Lyne, and Anthony Russo; five grandchildren, Andrew, Zoe, Ashlin, Taylor, and Roland; his sister, Olivia (Lou) Mitcheltree; special niece and nephew, Carrie and Shawn; and many cousins.
